Hi, I'm Jenna!

Hi there!

I'm happy to see you have stumbled upon this site! I wanted to start off by telling you a bit about me, this blog and what in the world is going to be happening here. So sit tight and hold on!

Background on me: 

My name is Jenna (duh, the title says it all) and I am currently a 21 year old, senior in college at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater. I am studying Elementary and Adolescent Education (K-8th grade) with a minor in English. I have 2 semesters of classes left, with one semester of student teaching after that. I am very ready to graduate in December of 2021 and be released into this very unknowing world of ups and downs... that hopefully comes equipped with my own middle school English classroom (crossing my fingers). I also currently work at a local coffee shop (which I actually live above!!) while I finish my degree. 

I grew up in southeastern Wisconsin with my mom and my older sister, Britta- yes, like the water filter. Britta and I are 6 years apart and live very different, yet slightly similar lives. Britta is a Spanish teacher and I want to be an English teacher... ironic. She was my assistant basketball coach in middle school and my rides to all the games. I inherited the famous 'silver bullet'- aka a silver mini van that didn't go over 75 mph- when she went off to college. My sister has also traveled a lot and has even lived in Spain for a few years. This has made me very fond of traveling. My mom, recently retired, is my biggest supporter. She loves to be outside, golf, and spend time with her kids. She has worked tirelessly to support my sister and I  as a single mother. The other part of my family that is never forgotten is my Dad. My dad sadly passed away in 2005, but that has not slowed my family down one bit. He has 7 other siblings that keep our family in touch!

I love to read, be outdoors, hike, travel, make & drink coffee, to name a few. I have traveled my fair share and have read equally as much. My boyfriend, Vince, and I love to travel to new places and hike with our amazingly rambunctious rescue dog. 

Ok, now about the blog...

With this blog, I hope to share some of my life experiences, recipes, book likes and dislikes, photos and lifestyle ideas/posts. This is my first go, so I have no idea where it will take me, but I hope the journey is good. Stay tuned for more posts!!
